Ultrafast OPOs

Chromacity has developed a range of ultrafast opo-based tunable laser sources which span the short to long IR wavelength regions:

  • The Chromacity Auskerry is the flagship ultrafast OPO. It is a tunable optical parametric oscillator that generates light across 1.4 µm – 4.2 µm (7150 cm-1– 2400 cm-1).
  • The Chromacity Haskeir is powered by a new generation of non-linear crystals that generate broad bandwidth coherent light across the long wavelength regions, between 4.5 µm – 12 µm (2200 cm-1 – 850 cm-1).

Both ultrafast OPOs, with picosecond pulses, are optically pumped by the high power Chromacity 1040, which is fully integrated into the optical head to maximize stability and reduce the overall system footprint. Fiber delivery capability reinforces the inherent stability of our OPO systems and seamless OEM integration for industrial applications.

Chromacity is the first laser manufacturer to remotely install ultrafast OPOs. Patent protected manufacturing and design processes have driven Chromacity to build truly robust and affordable OPO systems with drop-ship capability and plug & play functionality.
