Positioning Hexapods
Main advantages & features:
- High precision: Also called precision hexapods, positioning hexapods offer exceptional accuracy in both translational (linear) and rotational movements, with displacement resolution and repeatability in the order of hundreds of nanometers and few micro-radians.
- Wide payload capability: They can carry payloads from maximum 5 kg, up to 1.5 tonne, depending on the model, without compromising resolution and repeatability.
- Compact design: They are very compact six-degrees-of-freedom robots, based on a parallel architecture, much more compact and efficient than serial mechanisms, therefore ideals for space-constrained environments such as clean rooms, TVAC chambers, etc …
- Stiffness: Their parallel structure ensures high rigidity, stability and minimizes deflections under load.
- Software control: Sym_Positioning GUI & API allows point-to-point and trajectory hexapod control to position and orientate it in any desired combination of translations and rotations within the hexapod working envelope.
Symetrie positioning hexapods are ranked by maximum payload capability, from maximum 5 kg for the SOLANO and the MAUKA, up to maximum 1.5 tonne for the JORAN. Some models such as the BORA, ZONDA and JORAN can be high-vacuum compatible.
