HASO SWIR FAST | High Speed SWIR Wavefront Sensor

High Speed SWIR Wavefront sensor

The HASO SWIR FAST Wavefront Sensor, with its exceptionally high frame rate, is ideal for the most demanding applications requiring precise measurements in the Short Wave InfraRed (SWIR) range and superior temporal resolution. Its extensive wavefront measurement capability and built-in calibration simplify integration into optical setups.

Recommended for:

  • Adaptive Optics in Free Space Optics, including satellite or horizontal path communication.
  • Adaptive Optics in Quantum Key Distribution.
  • High-speed SWIR atmospheric turbulence analysis.

Key Features:

  • Absolute Calibration: Ensures 15nm RMS accuracy for diffraction-limited Adaptive Optics.
  • Broad Wavelength Compatibility: Optimized for 1.55µm but effective across 0.9µm to 1.7µm with consistent precision and sensitivity.
  • Minimal Light Requirement: Only 0.2nW needed for 4.5 kHz operation and 15nm RMS repeatability.
  • Low Latency: Camera Link interface reduces latency to as low as 500µs.
  • Shack-Hartmann Design: 11×11 microlenses capable of driving deformable mirrors with up to 100 actuators.
  • Adjustable Exposure Duration: Extends up to several seconds, enabling active optics for faint sources.
  • Scintillation Resistance: Patented uncorrelated wavefront measurement ensures robustness against intensity variations in the pupil.

Software:

  • WAVEVIEW Metrology Software: Comes with over 150 features.
  • Optional WAVESKY Software and SDK: Provides continuous high-frequency slope measurement streaming for adaptive optics applications.

Example Applications:

  • Adaptive Optics Platform: Integrated into our CIAO SWIR system, which includes a Piezo Deformable Mirror, achieving a closed-loop frequency of 3.5kHz.
  • Atmospheric Turbulence Characterization: Used to evaluate an atmospheric turbulence emulator and determine power spectral density on 36 Zernike polynomials at frequencies up to 2.2kHz.
